We offer variety of restorative materials as treatment choice in our clinic. Tooth coloured cements such as Glass Ionomer Cement, Composite, Ceramic Restorative Materials are available for Restorative Treatment in our Clinic. Ours is 'Amalgam Free Clinic', so we don’t offer Silver Amalgam as restorative material in our clinic.
Silver Amalgam: It is an un-anaesthetic metallic restoration (Non-Tooth Coloured). Recent Research points out that, it Contains Residual mercury which leaches out of restoration gradually thus causing chronic Mercury toxicity to patient which is very hazardous to health and more over operator (Doctor) is also chronically exposed to it which is a health hazard to him as well. So this material is not offered as restorative material in our clinic.
Glass Ionomer: This blend of acrylic and glass is used to create a cavity filling that releases fluoride to help protect teeth. But a glass ionomer cavity filling is less durable than other types, and may need to be replaced in as little as five years.
Composite Fillings: Sometimes referred to as composites or filled resins, these fillings feature a combination of glass or quartz filler and can be made to match the colour of your tooth. Composite fillings are also durable.
Ceramic: A ceramic cavity filling (usually made of porcelain) is tooth-coloured, and it may be less likely to show tooth stains over time than a composite cavity filling.
